If you have considered that the elections have little bit hope for opposition party candidates you were all wrong about it from the start. We have stated on that Erdogan left no time or opportunity to his opponents to conduct a good campaign while pressurizing all media sources to boost himself and his party.

We were referring Sun Tzu’s advice from the “Art’s of War” - “Every battle is won or lost before it is ever fought” Sun Tzu’s advice from “The Arts of War”. This refers to the preparation; positioning and planning that make the difference in the success of any battle. A well-planned strategy of deployment, mapped out the smallest details is a much guarantor of success as a hastily formed plan is a guarantor of failure.

So the elections were made last week. Erdogan was elected once more with almost 52% which displays no major shift from the previous referendum election.

So what this majorly shows to Turkey?

It is easy to say for Erdogan. Nothing changes. He will continue to consolidate this power while continue to move deeper in Syria and Iraq. Relations with Russia and United States will deter based on case to case situations. Economy is not in good situation.  He would not care less. He would maximize the civil projects for cash flow purposes to increase the GDP. Moreover this would boost him to inject cash via international institutions.

For oppositions, things blurry. While it seems they consolidate the votes under Ince presidency, the total votes once more display that they have not gained any points from AKP’s side. What opposition does not understand or is not capable to do is to make friends from Erdogan’s friends. If you want to gain the major seats in parliament or win the elections, it is not only to consolidate the votes of your supporters but also to make friends from Erdogan’s ally. That is what opponent party fails to make.

Can this opposition leader capable of doing this strategy? Most likely not. Moreover, the CHP leader (the biggest opposition party leader following AKP) insisted saying that they have made major gains in this elections. Mr. Kilicdaroglu who is CHP leader (major opposition leader to Erdogan’s AKP) has lost all major elections in his last 9 years campaigns. However he still insisted to remain his post and does not consider resigning.

After all, it seems no change in Turkish politics. New faces with old minds are in parliament once more. Leaders either claiming either being democratic or not demand full loyalty not to his parties but to themselves. This leaves Turkey under major threats to his future in coming decade. And it is also applicable to all parties, not only to AKP.
