UN Scientists warned that the world's food and water resources are being exploited at "unprecedented rates". The report mentions that somewhat 500 million people already live in places which turned into desserts, the soil is being lost between 10 and 100 times faster than it is forming.
Climate change will make everything even worse such as flooding, storms and other types of extreme weather. Those affects would disturb the food supply which would increase the in cross-border migration.
Overall report suggests that there is still time address the risks making food system efficient. But scientists urge that the window to take action is closing and we have to act fast.
