The alliance cracked with the death of 8 Turkish soldiers by Syrian army on 03 February 2020. While the Turkish envoy was moving towards Idlib, the Syrian army opened fire on the envoy. As a result, 8 Turkish soldiers were killed, 5 are wounded.
Turkey claimed that Turkey had given all information to Russia wo warn the Syrian army. Russia claims that Russia has not received. Syria claims that they have not received such information from Russia.
Whatever the reason, it is impossible to recognize that the envoys looks like terrorists as Syria considered. Therefore, Turkey is furious not only to Syrian regime but to Moscow.
