Iran Foreign Minister Dr. Zarif endorsed Pakistan’s stance that solution to the Afghan conflict could only be found through dialogue. Dr. Zarfi added that given the US failed policies, the regional approach was required to bring much needed peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The two foreign ministers underlined that the two brotherly neighbouring countries would deepen connectivity between the two sister ports of Gawadar and Chahbahar to benefit from their complementarities.
The two sides had a thorough discussion over the gas pipeline of peace and they agreed to task the oil ministers of the two countries with holing technical meetings.
Iran still supports the proxy groups to counter the threat of Islamic State threat in Afghanistan.
