While US State dept warns Turkey of possible sanctions over S-400 purchase last week, Russian Rosoboroneksport stated that they have alreadystarted the production of S-400 Missile System that would be sent to July 2019 to Turkey.
It has been noticed that the Russian statement came after US State Department warning to Turkey. The issue of Turkey's S-400 purchase from Russia has caused a spike in tensions in the wake of the introduction of new anti-Russia sanctions. Washington imposed sanctions earlier in the day on 38 Russian individuals and entities, including state arms exporter Rosoboronexport, as well as senior government officials and businessmen.
The future of S-400 contract is unknown at the wake of the snap election. However it is for sure that both Moscow and Washington would closely watch the elections.
