The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) met in Istanbul and declared East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. The council call on all countries to do the same.
The OIC, which is comprised of 57 members, criticized Trump's announcement, saying the declaration is dangerous and should be reversed. The leaders of Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority attended the summit.
It is not suprising to see Saudi Arabia not attending the meeting since Saudi Arabia needs United States due to its domestic politic agenda. However it is suprising to see Israel inviting Prince Mohammad bin Salman al Suud to Israel to discuss the Iran and regional issues. We shall closely look how Saudi Arabia will respond this invitation.
On the other hand, Turkey is disappointed with Saudi Arabia not attending the meeting. It is likely that Turkey will start a Sunni community leadership campaign again Saudi Arabia due to its failure to defend Quds.
