Following the rebellion led to a resounding defeat of his uncompromising Brexit policy, 7 former cabinet members and 14 Conservative MPs, resigned from their position. This has been the biggest purge in the party’s history.

The party becomes more radical populists than ever. Party has been a pro-Europeanism for more than 40 years. Following the 2016 referandum, the change starts taking place. Now party becomes not just pro-Brexit but also pro-no-deal. Although PM Johnson insists that he has been working to get a better deal, there are no encouraging signs things are getting better at this very moment.

It becomes more apparent after all that PM Johnson’s plan seems to be to win a quick election. And he would do by either crashing out with no deal or by claiming that there are “enemies of the people” in the Parliament and needs to be put away.

Government already started to give away billions of pounds to public service since it is believed that no-deal will do no great harm to the economy. So no safety-net is needed.

Johnson follows unconventional behaviours. Suspension of Parliament is already a unconventional method. But asked how the government would abide by the law when he asked Queen not enact legislations passed by Parliament, PM Johnson replied as “We will see how legislation says”. Unfortunately, this behaviour has the risk of paving the way for next round of abuses.

Although the bill is on its way to House of Lords, the defeat of government and its loss of any sort of majority points towards an election.

The genuine problem is not what has been going on. The genuine problem is that there is no one with light to show the exist. The genuine problem is lack of leadership for Britain.
