According to surveys, people in Western Europe are willing to get vaccinated than those in eastern Europe. In Central Europe including France, the support for vaccines is less than 60%. That means countries will likely to struggle reaching 70% which is needed to achieve so called “herd immunity”.
Unless “herd Immunity” is reached, EU will not (cannot) declare the worst health crisis is over. And if that is the case, the recovery will be slow. And slow recovery will increase the economic burden on EU.
